High Kirk Community Playgroup Ballymena had a wonderful Farmers Day
Leading up to Harvest the children at the Ballymena Community Playgroup Ballymena were given the opportunity to explore the textures, tastes and smell of a variety of vegetables. Children eagerly helped to make the vegetable soup.
Safety in the kitchen was discussed as the children washed and cut the vegetables before all the ingredients were put into a large pot to make soup.
To round off a very busy and interesting day the children, all dressed as farmers, had the opportunity to sit in a tractor and meet a farmer. Afterwards everyone came in from the cold and enjoyed a cup of warm soup.
